A friend of mine shared with me her secret of getting ground beef for less. She goes to the discount grocery store when they have their beef tips on sale for $1.87 per pound. She will then take them to the meat counter and ask them to grind it for her. They do. At no extra charge.
I didn't know they would grind meat for you!! Way cool. I'll have to ask our grocer if they'll do it. We've had them slice lunch meat, but I'd never though of grinding. Thanks!!
